They say it takes a village to raise a child, but we really believe that in the life of a child with special needs it takes more than a village. The same can be said to all the wonderful people and companies involved in making Kairy come to life.

Teamwork Communications

Thanks to Martin Randall at Teamwork Communications, Kairy has come to life from start to finish. His expertise, guidance, professionalism and talent has taken our original idea and vision to a whole new level in creating and developing our App. Martin has put his heart and soul into this project by enduring endless meetings over the past year with us and gone beyond the call of duty in connecting us to other industry aligned people and companies, who have all come together to help see our vision become a reality. We cannot thank Martin enough for his passion in helping us with this project and for becoming such an integral part of our development and decision making. We are now fortunate enough to call Martin and his team our friends.

Thyme Design Associates

Thanks to Derek Hannah and his team at Thyme Design Associates for their creative genius in helping us build our identity with the creation of our beautiful branding; logo, app/UI, print & packaging material and finally our website. The whole brand creation has truly helped us evolve and grow as a business to be proud of.

Derek has put so much love and thought into the logo and its meaning. The origami crane; which has multi-cultural symbolism of love, healing, protection, hope and good fortune. All of which resonates deep within parents of medically fragile children.

The crane is strong, powerful and engaging, it’s various colours a representation of medical awareness ribbons. The crane also represents the parent taking care of a child with complex medicalneeds, and the fun ‘Kairy’ script in a child’s handwriting represents the child and fun side of the app.

The Origami Crane:
The Japanese refer to the crane as the “bird of happiness”. The wings of the crane were believed to carry souls up to paradise. Mothers who pray for the protection of the crane’s wings for their children would recite this prayer: “O flock of heavenly cranes, cover my child with your wings”. Traditionally, it was believed that if one folded 1000 origami cranes, one’s wish would come true. It has also become a symbol of hope and healing during challenging times.
