What is Kairy?

How do I assemble the Kairy ‘Mi Inside’ wellness tracker?

How do I assemble the Kairy ‘Mi Inside’ wellness tracker?
This is done in three easy steps:

Step 1: Remove device and strap from packaging.
Step 2: To insert the tracker into the strap, place the bottom of the tracker into the open area of the strap.
Step 3: Now gently push the top of the tracker into the strap. Once complete, the device is now in place.

How do I install the Kairy application?

Simply open the relevant mobile application store (see below), search for ‘Kairy’ and install:

  • For Apple phones, visit iStore.
  • For Android phones, visit the Play Store.
  • For Windows phones, visit the Windows Store.

How do I connect the Kairy ‘Mi Inside’ wellness tracker?

How do I connect the Kairy ‘Mi Inside’ wellness tracker?
The device turns on automatically once charged.

The device will need to synchronize via Bluetooth with your mobile device.

Open the Kairy App and select the Profile page, click on ‘Search and connect to wristband’, once the app has found the device, select Mi Band and wait for connection.

How do I charge the Kairy ‘Mi Inside’ wellness tracker?

Three flashing lights on the device indicates a low battery and the need to charge it. To charge the device, follow the steps below:

  • Take the device out of the strap, place it into the USB charger provided and plug the charger into a power source.
  • During charging, 1 light will continuously flash.
  • When charging is complete, 3 non-flashing lights will appear. The device is now ready to be used again.

Troubleshooting

If you ever encounter a problem, please first check:

  • You have a compatible device: iPhone 4S and above with iOS 8.0 and above. Android 4.4 and above.
  • You have Bluetooth turned ON and it was connected (and location service turned ‘ON’ on android devices, this is needed in order to connect with bluetooth device).
  • be sure that the bluetooth device is not connected to another device.
  • You have the correct app and latest app version.

  • Reset Bluetooth: Turn Bluetooth ‘off and on’ on your phone/ tablet.
  • Reset App: Force close the app and then re-open again.
  • Reset Hardware: Reset Kairy device before connecting again with app (this is not implemented on the android Kairy app).

How to restart App?

Visit Kairy App info page from Apps list from device settings and press on force stop button. The navigation to the App info depends on your device type.

Finally, try to reboot your phone/ tablet by turning it off and on again and try re-connecting.

What’s included in the box?

The Kairy ‘MI Inside’ wellness tracker includes the Mi Pulse Band tracking device, large black strap, kids strap in selected colour, USB charger and user manual.

Is the Kairy ‘Mi Inside’ wellness tracker a medically certified device?

The Kairy ‘MI Inside’ wellness tracker is a consumer device aimed at personal health and well-being, there is no need for it to be medically certified.

Is the Kairy ‘Mi Inside’ wellness tracker able to alert when a seizure is taking place.

Is the Kairy ‘Mi Inside’ wellness tracker able to alert when a seizure is taking place. NO, the ‘Mi Inside’ wellness tracker is not an alert device. It is only to be used together with the Kairy App to keep record of heart rate activity and movement activity/steps for users to help form an overall picture of their wellbeing together with the other settings of the Kairy App.

How can I change my profile avatar?

In the user settings (either in the Kairy app or using the backend on the computer), select ‘change picture’ or change avatar picture and select the new picture (on mobile device you have to tap save button on the top-right side of the screen after you choose the new avatar picture).

Can I change my email address?

No. The email you choose when registering with Kairy uniquely identifies your account and cannot be changed.

Can I use the Kairy application without the wellness tracker?

Yes, you can but please note that when both items work together, you will get a more informed view of your well-being.

Do I have to be online to use Kairy?

You have to be online to register initially but Kairy does have an offline capability. Your session data is stored locally until you are online again, then it is uploaded automatically or by pressing on the Sync Data button from user profile screen.

What kind of sensor does Kairy ‘Mi Inside’ wellness tracker use?

  • Accelerometer;
  • The optical heart rate sensor, which uses photoelectric light perception;
  • Vibration Engine.

How do I delete my account?

The account cannot be deleted.

How much does the Kairy application and ‘Mi Inside’ wellness tracker cost?

US$ 39.99 Kairy App Only (no Mi Inside wellness tracker)
US$ 49.99 Kairy App + Mi Inside wellness tracker
US$ 5.99 annual subscription per month, unless subscription is cancelled.

What’s the difference between using the front end and backend of Kairy?

The backend is needed to Register, login and to set up your unique user profile with as much data and information as possible on a computer.

Once this is done that information will feed through to the ‘App’ which is used on your device (phone / tablet).

Can I add multiple individuals to my profile?

No, the app is created for one user only. If you have more than one child with special needs, please email us on: info@kairy.io and we will try our best to help you with a ‘buy one, get one free’ option.

However this would mean you would need to register with two email addresses, and login twice for more than one user.

Can I edit a calendar entry once I’ve inputted it?

No. The calendar event cannot be edited after you have inputted it. The calendar event would have to be deleted.

How do I reset the Kairy ‘Mi Inside’ wellness tracker?

The band data cannot be reset from the Kairy app.

How do I change my password?

How do I change my password? On the backend/computer – on the Login page is a “forgot your password?” section.

There is a message: “click here to reset your password. “ . If you press on it, you will be redirected to a page where you can change your password.

On the App/Mobile device – on Login screen you have to input your email address, press on the “Forgot Password?” label and confirm the reset password by pressing on the “Yes” button.

Can I deactivate my account?

It will be possible after the subscription plan is implemented.

Deactivation would mean that you cannot access any Kairy data.

Privacy and Data Storage FAQs

How does Kairy protect my data?

All Kairy data is personal and accessible only by the account where it’s stored. No other user can view or modify any of your data.

How does Kairy protect my privacy?

We do not share any data with any other websites or platforms. All the data is stored and accessible only with the user login in.

Where is my data stored?

All the data is stored and backed up in safe databases.

On mobile apps all the data is stored on the private app folder which is not accessible from outside of the Kairy app.

Can others access my data?

By default, no other user can access your data.

The only pieces of shared data are the medication names. For example; if someone scans the barcode of a specific medication, other users will be able to
find that medication in the autocomplete.

All other data such as alerts, health tracking data, child information, appointments are fully personal and accessible only with your account.

Payment, Shipping and Delivery FAQs

What if I want to return my Kairy ‘Mi Inside’ wellness tracker after 30 days?

We accept returns of any undamaged products, provided you have used it for no more than 30 days from delivery and we receive it within 45 days from delivery.

Can I change my order or cancel it after I’ve placed it?

Due to our efforts to ensure efficient and accurate shipping procedures, we are typically unable to cancel or make changes to your order after it’s processed for shipping. Please make sure you contact info@kairy.io immediately after placing the order should you wish to cancel, and we will try our best to assist you before it is dispatched.

What if I entered the wrong address?

If after receiving a confirmation email containing the given address, the customer should advise us of the mistake straight away. If not, we will attempt to make delivery. Once a failed delivery occurs, the customer will be contacted. If a change at this stage is required, the customer may be charged an additional shipping fee.

What forms of payment do you accept? Visa, Mastercard and Paypal

What are your shipping rates?

Shipping rates vary depending on the country you wish to have the device shipped to.

On checkout you will have three shipping options to choose from.

Please note that shipping is for your own account over and above your product order.

Do you ship to international addresses?

Yes, currently we are not able to ship to South Africa.

We are working on this and hope to help you in the future.

Will duties and customs taxes be included in the shipping price?

If duties and custom taxes are applicable in your country, you will need to cover the costs yourself.
